STUDENT CONNECT , An Official Test Registration Centre of British Council

The Pearson Language Exam (PTE) was created by the Pearson PLC Group with the goal of evaluating and validating non-native English speakers' use of the English language. Therefore, you can take English Language Tests to demonstrate your English competence if you wish to pursue a master's degree abroad. PTE is one of the most well-known English language tests in the world, along with TOEFL, IELTS, and TOEIC. PTE Academic, PTE General (formerly London Tests of English), and PTE Young Learners are among the Pearson Language exams (formerly London Tests of English for Children). All of these scenario-based exams are approved by the QCA and offered in cooperation with Edexcel, the leading testing organization in the UK.

Among other countries, institutions in the USA, UK, and Australia recognize the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic.

PTE ACADEMIC

A computer-based academic English language test called the Pearson Test of English Academic is geared for non-native English speakers who desire to pursue studies overseas. This PTE Academic Test evaluates a test-reading, taker's writing, listening, and speaking abilities in order to provide admission to a program of English language teaching at the university level. The Graduate Management Admission Council supports the Pearson Test of English Academic, and a few additional universities abroad have begun to accept PTE Academic Scores.

PTE GENERAL

The Pearson Language Tests company created the PTE General Exam as a global English language test for those who speak English as a second language. Edexcel administers it, and QCA (the Qualification and Curriculum Authority) has accredited the tests. The Pearson Test of English General are theme-based tests intended to evaluate a learner's communication skills in real-world scenarios. Therefore, rather than grammar exercises, real-world scenarios are mostly used in the PTE General test. This exam is divided into six levels that correspond to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Additionally, the Council of Europe created the framework for this exam to make it possible for language students, teachers, institutions, and future employers to compare and link language qualifications by level. This test is primarily used to evaluate candidates' abilities in reading, writing, speaking, and listening at each of the six levels.

PTE TEST FORMAT

The hearing, reading, speaking, and writing portions of the PTE Academic Test are divided into three main sections. Following the speaking and writing portions will be the listening and reading ones. All portions of the test should be finished in three hours. Twenty distinct question types—from multiple-choice to essay writing and information interpretation—will be included in each of the four parts. To listen, read, and react to questions, you will utilize a computer and headphones.
